(Saint James- warden of Our Lord Jesus-Christ' tomb)

Identified with the text of the parchment he holds in his hands, saint James is not here combined for any way with the Compostelle route. Any attribute of the Spain apostle (shell, Book, stick, etc...) is present on the sculpture or near it.

While the St John's and St Peter's parchments bear the mention APLS: apostolos (apostle: sent), the mention ETDNI on the St James's shows that he was no considerate as the Spain apostle when the sculpture was made.
